If you have received paperwork from the Procurator Fiscal’s Office which includes the charges against you, you should contact our office immediately.

 

The Procurator Fiscal have prosecuted you and now require you to respond to the charges against you. The Procurator Fiscal paperwork offers the opportunity for you to write to them confirming your plea. You will however usually be required to attend regardless of filling out the paperwork and returning to the Procurator Fiscal’s Office. It is important you seek legal advice and representation to ensure you are not only advised about the offence(s) you have been charged with but also to ensure that you are represented well at court.

The Police have gathered evidence against you and have passed their report onto the Procurator Fiscal. It is vital you take legal advice prior to attending a Police Station, regardless of the nature of the crime which the Police may wish to speak to you about.

 

Please remember that it is your right to have a lawyer provide legal advice to you prior to interview. It is also a right for you to have a Solicitor attend the Police Station and sit in on your interview.
